Scott started his career as a Strength and Conditioning (S&C) coach with the Singapore Sports Institute after obtaining his S&C Level 2 certification in 2009 and BSc in Exercise and Sport Science from Edith Cowan University in 2011. His work with high-profile athletes and para-athletes was the major reason for his decision to pursue a Master’s Degree in Physiotherapy from Curtin University.

After graduating in 2019, Scott worked as a physiotherapist in Perth treating athletes playing rugby, netball, hockey players etc., as well as every day musculoskeletal and spinal issues. Being a sportsman himself, he finds it extremely rewarding to help patients take control of their own rehabilitation and exercise regimes to recover and minimize or prevent injuries so that they can return to doing what they love. Being a GLA:D®-trained (Good Life with Arthritis: Denmark) physiotherapist, Scott specializes in hip and knee osteoarthritis management - focusing on patient education and a structured neuromuscular training program to help patients manage their pain and build confidence in living with osteoarthritis.

Additionally, he has worked as a sports trainer to one of the biggest rugby clubs in Western Australia, managing athlete preparation and injury management on training and game days. As a PHICIS-qualified (Pre-Hospital Immediate Care in Sport) sports trainer – backed by World Rugby and the Royal College of Surgeons Faculty of Immediate Care, he has obtained the knowledge and skills to administer in-depth on field assessments for concussions, spinal care and first aid. Scott is also a level 1 accredited rugby coach.

When he is not on the job, Scott can be found either in the gym, playing touch rugby or exploring trekking trails or doing just about any type of outdoor activity.
